This is not your ordinary lye soap! Made by our Amish neighbors using time-honored methods and a family recipe passed down through generations, this soap carries the wisdom and utility of a simpler time—when one bar had to do it all.

Crafted with just four pure ingredients, farm-rendered lard, washing soda, rainwater, and lye, this soap is powerful, long-lasting, and incredibly versatile. No toxic chemicals or fragrances. Just clean, hardworking soap.

HOUSEHOLD USES

This soap is exceptionally effective for:
•Laundry: Naturally breaks down stains, oils, and dirt—great as a stain stick or grated into homemade laundry powder.
•Dishes: Cuts grease and buildup with ease—ideal for handwashing.
•General Household Cleaning: Use for scrubbing sinks, tubs, countertops, and even outdoor tools and equipment.

SKIN USE (When Deep Cleansing is Needed)

This soap is naturally drying and especially helpful for:
•Poison ivy or poison oak rashes (helps dry blisters)
•Oily or acne-prone skin
•Removing resins, pitch, or grime after farm, shop, or garden work

**Follow with a moisturizing balm or oil if using topically.

CRAFTED WITH: Lard, Washing Soda, Rainwater, Lye

PRODUCT DETAILS:
You may choose between a 12 oz. portion of Lye Soap, cut into workable blocks, OR a 12 oz. portion grated (ready to use for laundry, dishwashing, and household cleaning applications). Both options will come packaged in a brown paper bag

SUGGESTED USE: Grate or shred blocks for easy dissolving into hot water for laundry and household cleaner recipes (the grated option comes ready to use for these purposes). Use blocks directly on fabric or surfaces as a stain stick or scouring bar. Use with care on skin—this is a traditional work soap with strong cleansing properties.

*Note: We personally find that approximately 1 tsp of this grated lye soap is more than sufficient to wash a full sink of dishes. And that 1-2 T serves a load of laundry (depending on how soiled our clothes are;)). A little of this powerhouse soap, certainly goes a long way!
