Poke Root Salve

Our Poke Root (Phytolacca americana) Salve is crafted by hand, in small batches from wild Poke Root we harvest here on Farm. We are intentional in our harvest and gather this potent medicine, at it's peak during the late Autumn/early Winter season and again in the early Spring, when the healing energetics of the plant have retreated underground, to the roots!

Poke Root holds a strong affinity for the movement of stagnant energy, especially that held within the lymphatic system. We use our Poke Root Salve here on the Farm & within our community to:

-support healthy breast tissue (healing fibrocystic & sore breasts)
-open clogged milk ducts and prevent mastitis
-reduce swollen lymph nodes
-dissolve cysts and fatty lumps/tumors of all kinds
-heal severe & painful cystic acne
-topically massage the womb, easing the pain of endometriosis, to aid in the regulation of the menstrual cycle, and to support fertility
-relieve swollen, painful, sore joints (especially arthritic joints)
-ease a sore throat (by applying the salve topically to the throat & lymph nodes of the neck)
-relieve sinus pressure (via topical massage)
-drain clogged ears/earaches/ear infections (by massaging salve topically around & behind the ear, then down by the lymph nodes, the throat, then the chest)
-soothe rheumatic or arthritic inflammation
-harness it’s antiviral properties in the treatment of shingles, herpes, and other viral skin eruptions.
-heal inflamed patches of psoriasis and a myriad of skin ailments

Ours is a simple(powerful) salve, just fresh, wild Poke Root, castor oil, beeswax, and a touch of organic olive oil. But if you know Poke, you know...there's nothing "simple" about its medicine.
